Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce

315.252-7291
2 State Street
The Chamber actively hosts various programs to generate community benefit, including the Leadership Cayuga leadership development program and the Finger Lakes Grant Information Center, which assists non-profits in identifying new funding resources and building capacity.

Finger Lakes Grants Information Center
The FLGIC was established in 2011 as a joint venture of the Stardust Foundation of CNY and the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce. The mission is to create a resource for our local communities to provide the information and tools necessary to attract funding to Auburn and the Finger Lakes region from foundations, federal, state, and local governments, and other grant makers.

The center maintains a current print collection of resources from the Foundation Center as well as our own collection on fundraising, grant writing, and other related topics. We are a partner of the Foundation Center and provide visitors with unique database access. We have computers for visitor use and offer wifi for your laptops or iPads. To reserve, call 315.252.7291 or email Jessica jwrench@cayugacountychamber.com.

In addition, the FLGIC provides workshops and events on grant seeking, proposal writing, nonprofit board governance, and fundraising, per our mission.

Leadership Cayuga
Since 1989, Leadership Cayuga has prided itself on graduating dedicated community leaders. The program stimulates public-minded thinking and increases the base of informed, capable leaders committed to using their talents to add to our community’s vitality. The program’s more than 650 alumni are among the most informed volunteers in Cayuga County. Participants are comprised of small business owners, public servants, corporate executives, social service agency professionals, area youth, and other concerned members of the community.

United Way of Cayuga County

(315) 253-9741

The Auburn and Cayuga Community Chest originated in 1922 to solicit and disburse monies for charitable and community purposes. It was succeeded by the United Fund of Cayuga County (1956), whose purpose was to continue the improvement and development of health, character, and well-being of the residents of this county. In 1979, the name was officially changed to United Way to promote identification with the National United Way movement. Today, there are over 1,800 United Way organizations reporting over $4.2 billion in contributions worldwide. Visit UWCC’s website.
