2025 Flower Power Fundraiser

‘Tis the season to raise awareness about BID’s annual flower program. The flowers welcome patrons and visitors downtown with their color and beauty from May – October. The BID plants and maintains 100+ flowerpots and flower beds at Freedom Park, Market Street Park, Veteran’s Park and Exchange Street Plaza, all for enjoyment by Memorial Day weekend. We also plant and maintain 120+ hanging baskets installed from James Street – John Street. We thank the City of Auburn, Auburn Beautification Commission, Chemung Canal Trust Co. and Wegmans for their generous program donations. Join them in support of Flower Power!

Downtown Flower Pot Planting
Join us on Saturday, May 17 at 9 AM outside Café 108, participate in our Downtown Planting and help fill the ground pots with red canna lilies in the center, and bubble gum, silver and jazz berry petunias surrounding them. This event promotes civic pride and only takes a few hours. No need to RSVP, just show up the morning of the event. Facebook event

We so appreciate your help subsidizing this project. Without the support of businesses, organizations and individuals like you, we would not be able to continue the program. It is an expensive project that is offset through our contract with the City and the many friends of Downtown. The funds go directly to the daily watering, maintenance and replacement of the flowers throughout the season. Your help has allowed us to expand the program to include more ground pots & flower beds and now hanging baskets. Thank you so much!
